The workshop “Hyperconnectivity for European HPC Supercomputers – Feedback from HPC users and providers” took place on 22 November 2023 from 10:00 – 15:00 (CET).
You may find the Workshop presentations further below.
The workshop took place as part of the EuroHPC JU study called EuroHyPerCon which kicked off in October 2023 and is very relevant to HPC providers, users, and the EuroHPC ecosystem. The main scope of the EuroHyPerCon project is to identify and analyse the connectivity requirements of HPC systems in Europe and subsequently specify a future-proof connectivity service, along with its implementation roadmap. The study is a crucial cornerstone for the EuroHPC JU to develop further and improve the European HPC ecosystem, and thus, the engagement of the HPC user community to provide feedback and connectivity requirements is vital. For this reason, European and national/regional HPC and data centres (essentially Tier-0 and Tier-1 systems), as well as the user communities behind them, are essential stakeholders in delivering requirements.
The workshop mainly focused on the feedback from HPC users and providers through panel discussions and breakout sessions.
We kindly ask you to forward the information about the study to additional stakeholders that you deem relevant.
